What are the responsibilities and job description for the EMR Application Support Analyst position at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The EMR Application Support Analyst will be responsible for the efficient operation and optimization of electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically NextGen and Epic. This role involves the integration, configuration, support, and continuous improvement of these systems to ensure they meet the needs of the healthcare organization and enhance patient care delivery. The EMR Application Support Analyst will work closely with clinical and administrative staff to understand their requirements and provide solutions that improve workflow and system utilization.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent education required
2. Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
3. Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with EMR systems, specifically NextGen and Epic required
4. Experience in EMR system configuration, support, and optimization required
5. Certification in NextGen preferred
6. Certification in Epic required
7. Experience with system integration and interoperability preferred
8. Knowledge of additional EMR systems or healthcare IT applications preferred
9. A valid Driver’s License and daily access to an automobile required
