Position SummaryThe Senior Project Accountant partners closely with Project Managers on all aspects of project accounting and administration. This role plays a critical part in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on the financial performance of projects to ensure accuracy, compliance, and profitability.ResponsibilitiesProject Billing & Pay ApplicationsPrepare and process monthly owner requisitions in accordance with contract terms and billing schedulesDevelop, maintain, and update the project Schedule of Values (SOV)Review, process, and track subcontractor requisitionsProcess and manage change orders in Clear Story, ensuring alignment with approved scope and budgetAccounts Payable & DisbursementsReview and process vendor invoices and subcontractor requisitionsSelect and verify invoices for inclusion in the weekly disbursement cycleProcess labor and accounts payable job cost transfersSupport vendor and subcontractor buyout from a financial and contract compliance perspectiveBudgeting, Forecasting & Financial ReportingProcess and maintain project budget updatesAssist Project Management with monthly project forecasts, including validation of projected fees and percent completeMonitor project cash position and complete monthly cash position analysisPrepare project cash flow forecasts to support financial planning and decision-makingContract Compliance & ControlsManage compliance with contractual terms and conditions, including certificates of insurance, bonds, lien waivers, and billing proceduresEnsure billing, change order, and payment processes comply with contract requirements and internal controlsProject Financial Support & CollaborationPartner closely with Project Managers to provide ongoing project financial support and guidanceTrack, analyze, and report on project financial performance throughout the project lifecycleSupport Project Management in resolving financial issues related to scope changes, cash flow, and cost controlsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or other relevant field.3-5 years of related experience.Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and construction management software.Detail oriented and able to meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.Candidate must possess company Core Values: Find a Way, Fun & Humble, Show You Care, and Succeed as a Team.
