Qualification:
- RBT certification
- Minimum High school diploma/GED; Associated Degree or higher preferred
- Previous experience working with children with autism or in the field of ABA
- Experience with data collection and reporting on student progress
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Summary:
Wakefield Public Schools is seeking a talented RBT to work in the School-to-Life Program at Wakefield High School. School-to-Life is a substantially separate classroom for student Autism who require their academics be taught in a small group setting, with embedded behavioral support. The RBT will work under the direction of the School-to-Life Special Education Teacher and the Program BCBA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in the School-to-Life program, including implementing discrete trials
- Assist in creating, implementing, and monitoring progress of individualized programming (including facilitating social skills groups)
- Assist in delivering direct behavior-analytic services, implementing behavior plans, and collecting and graphing data
- Assist in the development of IEPs
- Continuously monitor student’s response to treatment through data collection methods
- Implementing behavioral procedures for acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors
- Support students with various ADLs (including toileting), when needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Perform other related duties, as required
Work Year: 190 days total (180 school days 10 days). There is an opportunity to work the Extended School Year Program in the summer as well, if you choose to do so.
Work Day: 7.5 hours Monday - Friday. Schedule is consistent with the district calendar.
Compensation: competitive rate per hour commensurate with experience
