Overview
Responsible for fabricating products in areas of responsibility according to client and employer specifications.
Duties
- Operate machinery, such as saw, vipros, tap, metal stamp, punch press, and mill & drill
- Ensure work is performed following all safety protocols while using proper safety equipment
- Follow all procedures, work instructions, and print requirements to ensure accurate quality parts are produced to meet customer expectations
- Provide troubleshooting and process improvement ideas to ensure continuous growth of the department
- Complete routine machine maintenance as needed
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Any other tasks as assigned by Wald Wire Management
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Understand and interpret blueprints, product drawings, and specifications
- Basic mathematical skills
- Communicate information accurately
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated and driven
- Post-secondary education in fabrication preferred
- Prior experience with metal fabrication operations and equipment
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee must frequently use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee must periodically walk, stoop, crouch, bend, and reach above the shoulders. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Temperatures can vary from cool to warm, depending on the season. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing, and shields for required tasks, and closed-toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
