Overview

Under the general supervision of the Credit Manager, Administers to the credit risk management of the institution’s commercial loan portfolios, which includes underwriting of commercial loans for customers with total exposure exceeding $500M for C & I loans and commercial mortgages. Maintains confidentiality of customer’s information and compliance with all requirements and policies.

Responsibilities

 

  • Complete a thorough, in depth analysis of new credit requests, credit change requests, renewals and annual relationship reviews.
  • Recommend risk rate changes when analysis merits.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for lenders on new, renewal and existing loans.
  • Assists in the administration of the institution’s commercial loan portfolios as to credit risk management loan considerations to maintain quality control and minimize losses.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of the Bank’s Loan Policy and procedures and identify exceptions to policy.
  • Ensure that all credit files are complete, identify any documentation deficiencies, and report to loan officers and credit manager as needed for timely resolution.
  • Review loan files as needed to ensure quality, consistency and compliance with lending guidelines.
  • Originate the collection and tracking of annual financial information for the execution of annual reviews on existing portfolio loans.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Credit Manager.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of coursework and work experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Analytical skills
  • Experienced in credit analysis, cash flow reports, and financial statement analysis
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening).
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Must be highly competent with significant expertise in multiple computer programs. Will ensure competency is achieved and maintained with training, as needed.
  • Ability to effectively manage one’s time to complete work according to established deadlines.
