Your Purpose:
You will serve as a liaison between our carriers and our clients when it comes to personal and commercial claims.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Receive notification of claims and evaluate applicable coverage and policies.
- Enter all claims into account management system and document claims activity.
- Monitor adjustor performance in accordance with agency published standards.
- Initiate a status or a follow-up on all open or unsettled claims that are being handled by an outside adjustor.
- Notify carriers of any reserve deficiencies, soliciting management assistance when necessary.
- Respond to claims-related inquiries.
- Provide client with claim status reports; reviews and maintain claim files as needed or required by service commitments.
- Interface with other departments to ensure effective communication.
- Assist with subrogation claims when appropriate.
- Assist in renewal process by obtaining loss runs as needed.
Education & Experience:
- College degree, preferred
- Property & Casualty Insurance License, preferred
- Insurance and claims designations/certifications a plus
- At least three years' experience in Commercial and Personal Insurance preferred
- Previous claims experience a plus
Your Skills/Abilities:
- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills with goal setting and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation skills, team building skills, and flexibility
- Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel
- Working knowledge of federal and state legislation and legal issues related to the insurance industry required
- Practical knowledge of all major commercial insurance lines of coverage and claims principles, terminology and practices/procedures
- Exceptional verbal, written, and communication skills
- High level of customer focus with ability to develop strong relationships with multiple clients and carriers.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
