Responsibilities and Skills
We have an immediate opportunity for the right candidate in our growing structural engineering practice in Kansas City, Missouri. Responsibilities include: layout of construction drawings based on preliminary architectural plans/models, adaptation of standard details to projects, detailing of unique conditions, and coordination with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, etc. Work will be done under the supervision of an engineer and/or senior BIM Technician. A Certificate of Achievement in Drafting and Computer-Aided Design Technology or equivalent, or Associate of Applied Science degree in Drafting and Design Engineering Technology preferred. The successful candidate must be able to earn the confidence of our clients through elegant, practical, and timely engineering solutions. Additional qualities of the ideal candidate include:
- Experience in pre-cast or tilt-up wall detailing
- Proficient communication, leadership and client relationship skills
- Willingness to accept increasing levels of responsibility, and demonstration of continued and progressive technical and leadership experience
- Sensitive to client's needs, can develop positive client relationships.
