What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Wally's Corner?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check customers' identification to verify legal drinking age
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol consumption
- Collect payment from customers and process transactions accurately
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure excellent customer service
* Experience:
- Previous experience as a bartender in an established, neighborhood bar is preferred
- Basic math skills for calculating bills, handling cash, and making change
- Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies to upsell products
- Familiarity with alcohol service regulations and health codes
- Strong customer service skills to provide a positive experience for patrons
- Knowledge of retail math for inventory management and pricing calculations
- Hospitality mindset to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
