What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Bookkeeper position at Walter's Electric Inc.?
Job Summary
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, payments, and payroll. You will work closely with the accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance. This is a locally owned family business with over 40 years in the industry. Our office staff consists of 3 other people with a family vibe.
We are looking for someone who can start immediately.
Duties
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and reports including monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Process payroll and maintain employee records
- Conduct general ledger reconciliation, file GET, and other tax forms monthly, and quarterly
- Record day-to-day financial transactions
- Assist with audits and budget preparations, collaborate with accountants to prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and Word, Gmail
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and journal entries
- Knowledge of corporate accounting practices. Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Ability to perform 10-key typing accurately. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with debits, credits, and general ledger reconciliation
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
