Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to prepare cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects with a focus on underground utilities & structures. The estimator will review project plans, gather pricing, and develop accurate bids to support winning contracts.
Responsibilities
- Analyze project plans and specifications
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing
- Work with project managers and engineers to develop bids
- Solicitation of subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Maintain estimating databases and documentation
- Participation in production of draft content for written proposals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- 2-5 years’ experience estimating heavy civil construction projects preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders
