Service Advisor/Writer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Writer to join our team in a dynamic automotive environment. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, facilitating communication between clients and the service department. This role is crucial in ensuring that customer needs are met while providing exceptional service and support throughout the automotive repair process.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
• Document customer concerns and vehicle issues accurately.
• Provide detailed explanations of repair services and recommendations.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services.
• Upsell additional services or products based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and customer interactions.
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further concerns.
• Stay informed about dealership promotions, new products, and industry trends.

Skills

• Strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge.
• Experience in a dealership environment is preferred, particularly in automotive sales or service writing.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Proficiency in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and service offerings.
• Familiarity with diesel engine repair is a plus but not required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
