What are the responsibilities and job description for the PPAP Coordinator position at Warren Screw Products, Inc.?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for organizing, completing and maintaining PPAP submissions to customers. Prior experience with the AIAG PPAP requirements is needed in this role, including submission levels, Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flows, Cpk / Ppk, MSA, dimensional layout, Material and Outsource treatment certs.
· Conducts Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and maintains all required documentation
· Completes all aspects of PPAP elements including first article inspection, dimensional layouts, Gage R&R’s, and capability studies
· Performs PPAP Annual Revalidations as required
· Maintains PPAP master samples
· Requires knowledge of the company quality management system, as well as contractual quality requirements, which vary from customer to customer
· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing AIAG standard publications, customer supplier quality manuals and additional customer specific requirements
· Submits IMDS as required
· Interaction with company multi-disciplinary entities, customer and supplier
· Contributes to team success by accomplishing related results through the meeting of deadlines
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or a minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training
· Previous experience in quality assurance role with evidence of PPAP and APQP knowledge
· Previous manufacturing experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, work instructions and correspondence.
· Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
· Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
· Ability to work with mathematical concepts to support the duties and responsibilities listed above.
· Ability to work with knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
