What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reservoir Engineer position at Wasatch Energy Management?
Responsibilities
- Work with multidisciplinary team to generate and execute a development plan in the Uinta Basin with the goal of maximizing value, including optimization of completion design, well spacing, production practices, landing zones, etc
- Perform economic analyses for the purpose of AFE’s and field development
- Ensure well estimated ultimate recovery (EURs), product pricing, Capex, Opex and taxes reflect current performance
- Manage 3rd party reserve audits that comply with 3rd party lending requirements
- Report competitor results and collaborate to implement competitor’s best practices where appropriate
- Evaluate and recommend asset acquisition and divestiture opportunities
- Collaborate with Finance team to develop corporate level targets and goals and assist with tracking and understanding variance versus Forecast production, capital, and other metrics
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Geologic Engineering or related field of study
- Three (3) to ten (10) years of Exploration & Production (E&P) or relevant industry experience
- Must have a substantial working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and economic/technical analysis software (e.g.; Aries, ComboCurve, etc.)
- Experience with LOS analysis and 3rd party reserve audits
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) for interface with company management and field personnel
