Washington Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Scheduler/ Central Supply to join our team. The ideal candidate must be a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced certified Nursing Assistant to serve as our Assistant Staffing Coordinator/ Central Supply. This role is integral to ensure our team of nursing staff is well- supported, well- scheduled and well- led. The ideal candidate is educated, certified, and trained, with at least 1 year if experience in the field.
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, this position will support the Scheduler Coordinator in maintaining the nursing schedules for the facility and oversee the resident’s appointments. Also, the position will be responsible for managing inventory and stocking supplies.
FLSA: Hourly non-exempt
Shift/ Hours: Monday thru Friday, 6:45 am -3:15 pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilize Point Click Care for all consults and referrals
Assist with preparing weekly and monthly schedules for all nursing staff.
Assist with handling hourly and daily scheduling changes efficiently.
Keep supervisors and staff informed about schedule changes, cancellations and updates.
Assist with scheduling resident’s appointments according to care plans and staff availability.
Communicate effectively with all management of any changes in resident’s scheduled appointments.
Responsible for managing inventory and restocking supplies in accordance with budget.
Communicate effectively with outside transportation agencies for residents’ appointments.
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Prefer a minimum of one (1) year related experience in a healthcare setting
Active CNA License Prefer
Must be High School graduate or equivalent
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Must be familiar with medical terminology
Must be proficient in the use of personal computer (windows, internet and applications)
Strong analytical skills and problem- solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with a high level of quality and productivity.
Physical Demands:
This role requires frequent walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling to various locations within the facility.
Must be capable of performing essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.
