Position Details
- Job Type:Full-time, year-round
- Pay:$21.00 - $23.00/hour (based on experience)
- Schedule:Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM occasional Saturdays
This Job Is For You If You Can:
- Lift and carry 50-60 lbs repeatedlythroughout the day
- Shovel, dig, and haulmaterials in all weather conditions
- Climb up and down steep landfill slopeswith heavy tools and sandbags
- Work in extreme heat or coldwithout slowing down
- Stay on your feet for8-10 hours a day
- Handledirty, dusty, and odorous environmentswith a positive attitude
Key Responsibilities
- Perform physically demanding labor tasks across the landfill and transfer station
- Operate hand tools and light equipment (shovels, post hammers, picks, etc.)
- Direct traffic safely and assist customers on-site
- Support environmental systems forstormwater, landfill gas, and leachate control
- Maintain site cleanliness and safety standards
What You'll Need
- 1 year of experience in outdoor, physically demanding work
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong self-motivation and a commitment to safety
- This is a safety-sensitive position and requires the ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Willingness to assist at other sites if needed
