What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Technician (2nd shift) position at Wastequip?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Check production in computer area and verify recipes
- Daily calculations of compounding blend to support production and verify setups.
- Perform other in-process tests, such as dart impact and tensile test daily.
- Visually audits color let down as required daily.
- When required, perform incoming-receiving inspections.
- Perform in-process and finished goods product audits, as required, to determine adherence to standards. Summarize findings on control plan inspection checklist.
- Assist QA Manager in calibration program (Calibration of tools, gauges, fixtures, etc.).
- Use of hand tools to cut sections of parts or products for testing.
- Review product charge weight vs. BOM and suggest necessary changes.
- Actively promote and participate in company process improvement and quality system development, training, and projects.
- Random audits of outgoing product as needed.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
