Front End Technician

We are a rapidly growing national provider of video surveillance to the multifamily housing industry looking to fill an immediate opening in our Service Department. Our ideal candidate will perform a key role in maintaining constant operation of our network video systems nationwide through remote troubleshooting, resolution practices, and escalation protocols.

Essential Job Functions:

• Virtually monitor, remote troubleshoot, and diagnose a variety of network infrastructures and systems (Lights-Out Management).
• Use the ticketing system to record a detailed log of the troubleshooting process, including all successful and unsuccessful actions taken prior to escalation.
• Schedule and manage ISP service calls and other low-tier tickets with onsite technicians to resolve client issues.
• Alert technical supervisor of emerging trends in incidents.
• Complete daily image scans of client sites to proactively identify issues that need to be resolved.
• Assist in the maintenance of site documentation; site maps, contact lists, detailed company information, subcontractor contact information, etc.
• Assist in the development of virtual resolution help sheets.
• Administrative data entry.
• Other tasks as directed by Department Leadership.

Job Skills and Requirements:

• Knowledge of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, networking equipment, and analog/IP surveillance cameras.
• Knowledge of network fundamentals, networking standards, tools, and utilities.
• Experience with Linux and command line interface.
• Experience with Google Apps.
• Experience in installing, configuring, and managing network equipment (routers, switches, radios, cameras, etc.)
• Enjoys hands-on problem-solving in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Strong team building, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess strong decision-making skills and be very detail oriented.

Salary : $45,000 - $48,000
