What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Banquet Setup position at Water's Edge Resort and Spa?
Water's Edge Resort and Spa is currently accepting applications for an experienced lead banquet set up team member.
Responsibilities:
- Set-up and/or breakdown tables, chairs, audio visual equipment and platform/stages and other equipment as specified by group BEO. Set-up tables linens, skirting, and tabletop items.
- Clean, store, and secure all tables, chairs, and audio-visual equipment, platforms/stages and other equipment used for banquet functions.
- Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms, banquet hallways, and storage and services areas.
- May pick-up and delivery all boxes and materials (flip, charts, easels, blackboards, etc.) for function.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be 18 year or older
- Physical requirements include the ability to work long hours, as needed, including back-to-back events as they are scheduled. Heavy work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects such as tables, chairs, linens, dance floors, trolley cars, dolly carts, podiums, etc.
- Possess the ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time without sitting or leaning
- Must possess ability to comprehend, follow instructions and communicate in both English and Spanish
- Must be able to work in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must possess the ability to multi-task on a regular basis
- Weekend, evening and holiday shifts required
