Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Secondary Michigan Teacher Certificate
Science Endorsement required
Ability to teach using a variety of teaching strategies addressing differing student learning styles often within the same class setting
Well-developed management skills, people skills and effective communication skills
Ability to share knowledge with real-life applications
Demonstrated successful teaching experience with high school students
Successful experience working in collaborative groups
Willingness to actively develop and maintain business partnerships
Must be able to infuse contextual learning opportunities into subject area
Advanced ability to use technology effectively
Willingness to participate in professional development courses aligned with the school and district initiatives
Essential Functions:
In person and/or remote learning using google classroom platform
Plan, prepare and implement instruction and assessments
Attention to the social emotional individual needs of students
Effective use of instructional strategies, materials, resources and interventions for all students
Planning and organization of instruction for the benefit of all students
Conduct that serves as models for students and colleagues
