We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our expanding team. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the maintenance and repair of boats. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
8am - 4:30pm
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on boats, including engines, electrical systems,
inboard, outboard and inboard/outboard
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform engine tune-ups, oil changes, and other regular maintenance tasks
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components
- Install new equipment or systems as needed
- Conduct inspections to ensure boats meet safety standards
- Move boats of any length
- Ability to spring commission and winterize boats of all brands
- Participate in boat events and trips if needed
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
- Previous experience as a Boat Technician or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of boat engines, electrical systems, and inboard/outboard
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and their use in boat repairs
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
-Willing to train students after graduating from Marine Tech schools
