Overview
The Assistant Casino Shift Manager is responsible for the successful activities for the slot and table games shifts. Must be able to verify jackpot pay outs and monitor table games activities to comply with company policies and gaming regulations. Acts as Casino Shift Manager during the absence of his/ her supervisor. Acting as Casino Shift Manager, the Assistant Casino Shift Manager must be able to direct and manage all departments on the casino floor during the absence of or in concurrence with department heads.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily operations of table games and slots. Must be able to review staffing levels, delegate authority and assign responsibilities. Ensure the safety and security of employees and patrons. Monitor and adjust staffing levels according to business needs. Assist with selecting and developing staff. Ability to perform and solve complex problems under frequent time pressures. Document accurately casino daily activities through various oral and written reports to management.
Qualifications
Must have at least five to seven years experience in gaming or equivalent management positions. The individual selected for this job must be knowledgeable about Gaming laws and regulations in the state of Mississippi. Must also be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
