Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated Route Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up and delivering dental appliances to various dental locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This is a contract labor, 1099 position, using your personal vehicle and expenses. This position is perfect for retirees or individuals looking for a part-time income. If you enjoy being on the road and have experience driving your personal vehicle for one year or more, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently picking up and delivering dental appliances according to the assigned route.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and obtaining signatures.
- Represent the company positively and provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience a plus, but not required.
- Minimum of one year of experience driving a personal vehicle.
- Familiarity with route driving and delivery processes.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Capability of performing heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while maintaining organization.
- Friendly and professional demeanor.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a moving capacity is desirable.
