Position Summary/Basic Function

The Reconstruction Technician is responsible for assessing damaged properties to see what can be saved, cleaning damaged properties, removing, and replacing damaged materials, and sanitizing the restored sites. To be successful as a restoration technician, the employee must be physically capable, have a keen understanding of safety gear, and be able to follow instructions. Additionally, the Reconstruction Technician will be assisting with the firm's mitigation staff when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing damaged properties to see what can be saved.
  • Cleaning and storing damaged properties until they can be returned to the home.
  • Removing and replacing damaged materials, such as wallboards, lumbar, and carpets.
  • Handling any issues caused by water damage, including drying out the area and removing mold.
  • Sanitizing structural features that can be saved.
  • Operate vehicle in a safely manner and use field automation systems.
  • Cooperate with team and share information across the organization.
  • Answering complaints, explaining job specifications and invoices, and performing other customer service duties.
  • Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols.
  • Adhering to personal safety standards by wearing the appropriate protective gear and using the right equipment.
  • Skilled in the areas of; Mold Remediation, Demolition, Debris Removal, Fire and Smoke Cleaning, Sewage Remediation, General Repairs and Cleaning
  • Keep trucks/warehouse clean and organized.
  • Will assist with quality control plans and perform inspections to ensure that it complies with plans, specifications, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Will communicate on task status and support internal project communication.
  • Interpreting construction drawings and specifications on construction projects.
  • Determine if encountered field conditions require a change to the construction contract.
  • Perform a wide variety of materials testing, including concrete, aggregates, and density testing both in the field and lab settings.
  • Track and record as-built information for incorporation into project record drawings
  • Communicate with the project team throughout the process.

Experience/Education

  • Extensive professional experience in leadership roles within the industry.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant regulations and laws
