Head Attendant - Golf Course Club House

• Assist with golf operation with clubhouse supervisor and oversee operation in absence of Clubhouse Supervisor.
• Train, Supervise, and evaluate golf course operational staff.
• Prepare a work schedule for employees based on established policies and budget.
• Responsible for enforcing "Employee Handbook" and staff rules and policies pertaining to cash handling, operational procedures, customer service and on-course duties.
• Monitor golf calendar regarding leagues, outings, events.
• Supervise the operation, scheduling, and cleanliness of golf carts.
• Responsible for working with leagues, outings and general play to ensure a quality round and golfing experience is achieved.
• Oversee the WSGA Handicap system as it pertains to leagues and general play.
• Assist in the recruitment, education, operation/execution of leagues/lessons, and promotion of all Junior Golf related programs and through programs offered by Waukesha County and programs operated in cooperation with area municipalities.
• Prepare daily cash reports and reconcile all "point-of-sale" transactions from golf course operating system.
• In cooperation with the Golf Course Superintendent, Maintain the cleanliness of all golf course buildings and the surrounding areas while ensuring a safe environment for customers.
• In absence of golf Clubhouse Supervisor and/or Golf Course superintendent, make decisions on the playability or cart usage based on adverse conditions.
• Attend meetings as required.
• In cooperation with the Clubhouse Supervisor, Oversee the inventory and merchandising of the golf course pro shop stock and the food and beverage Inventory.
• Assist in the "Social networking", web-site maintenance, and all other promotion of the Waukesha County golf courses.
• Assist and staff Moor Downs Golf Course when needed.
• Monitor the on-course amenities such as water coolers, soda machines, beverage carts
• Monitor the on-course rangers to ensure a quality pace of play.
• Monitor that all of yardage markers, hazard stakes and play related amenities on course are current and adhere to all golf rules.

• Must be 18 years of age and have at least an 8th grade education.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• Working knowledge of the golf and hospitality industry
• Some cash handling and customer service work experience desirable. 
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including providing excellent customer service.
• Golf Instruction is preferred but not necessary.
• Must have a general knowledge of the rules of golf, golf course etiquette, inventory merchandising, and food and beverage service.
• Safe Food handling, CPR, and First aid certification preferred, but will train as needed.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
• Ability to manage crowds.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to safely operate equipment necessary to perform the duties of the position.
• Ability to accurately count and handle money.
• Ability to withstand exposure to variable and unfavorable weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs, on a frequent basis.
