Description
Portland’s only riverfront country club with an unrivaled culture of year-round golf and spirited experiences bringing active families and friends closer together. Waverley Country Club is currently seeking Expeditors to join our team.
This position is responsible for ensuring that all kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and according to menu and customer expectations. Candidates must be available to work evenings, weekends and willing to work flexible hours.
The pay rate for this position is $19.00 - $20.00 per hour. Additional benefits include access to the pool and golf course on Mondays, meals during scheduled shifts. If you enjoy working hard, while being a part of a friendly staff dedicated to excellence.
What you will do
- Maintain clear communication with back-of-house to plan and manage the order flow
- Properly set up and maintain expeditor station.
- Send food orders from the kitchen to the service area by directing food runners and service staff.
- Clearly communicate and facilitate all special requests by members to the kitchen.
- Monitors dish quality and accuracy, especially regarding modifications and temperatures
- Manages the final preparation or garnish on certain dishes
- Ensure adherence to all quality and sanitation rules and regulations
Requirements
- Must have a current Food Handlers Card
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must pass company pre-employment background check.
- Ability to lift 15-30 pounds.
- Being an expeditor is physical work and this job also requires the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment.
