Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Safe Communities Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community engagement and a strong background in safety program management. The Safe Communities Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating safety programs and initiatives that promote public safety and prevent crime and accidents.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify safety needs and gaps within the community.
- Organize and facilitate safety workshops, seminars, and events to raise awareness and educate the public.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Prepare and present reports on program activities, outcomes, and impact.
- Manage budgets and resources allocated for safety programs and initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and community members, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Safety, Public Health, Health Education
- Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in program management, community outreach, or public safety.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and build strong relationships with community stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
-Valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
