What are the responsibilities and job description for the WMH Registered Nurse - Wound Care position at Wayne Memorial Hospital?
Candidate will communicate with and collaborate with the physicians, other Hospital nursing staff and other healthcare team members to provide consistent quality care for wound treatment program patients.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure in the state of PA; Two years experienced in acute setting, wound care and ambulatory care experience desirable. Able to complete two-man lift, wheelchair to exam table; Actively engages in conversation with patient and family.
Physical Standards:
Constantly: (Exists 75% or more of the time) Standing; pushing > 100 lbs.; exposure to 2 degrees anesthesia gases; repetitive pushing stretchers, patient care.
Frequently: (Exists 25-75% of the time) Walking; reaching (overhead, forward, lateral, low); stooping (bend at waist); crouching (bend at knees); twisting; lifting and carrying 0-10 lbs.; pulling 75 - >100 lbs. (help is available 75 - >100 lbs.); exposure infect hazards.
Occasionally: (Exists 5- 25% of the time) Kneeling; pushing 15-40 lbs.; operating machinery; exposure to radiation, moving machinery, slippery surfaces.
Rarely: (Exists under 5% of the time) Sitting with back support; climbing; crawling; lifting and carrying 10-40 lbs. and 75 - >100 lbs. (help is available 75 - >100 lbs.); exposure to vibration, chemical hazards, dust.
Sensory Requirements Visual: close paperwork, color vision required; Hearing: conversation, monitoring equipment, telephone, background noise; Sensory Discrimination (hot/cold, sharp/dull).
