PRIMARY FUNCTION: Primarily responsible for overseeing and directing the activities of the Parts Room Associates and coordinating the Parts Room receiving, inventory records, and issuance of parts from the parts room. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Oversee the daily activities of all parts personnel to ensure the smooth flow of parts in and out of parts room inventory Oversee parts inventory in excess of $2M, review and requisition new stock as required to meet business need Receive and enter incoming merchandise accurately into inventory records to ensure internal parts inventory is correct and up-to-date Document all merchandise issued at time of issuance to ensure inventory remains accurate and up-to-date Verify records on off shifts are correct and current Deliver required merchandise to satellite locations as needed Partner with Purchasing Clerk to ensure purchase orders are completed and correct Mentor, coach and train/ cross-train employees encouraging career development; provide consistent feedback concerning strengths and areas in need of improvement Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions on a fair and consistent basis Follow and promote all safety initiatives, (i.e. wear and ensure others wear appropriate PPE in area where mandatory) helping to maintain a zero accident culture Performs additional relevant duties as assigned SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES: This role is a Leader of People role with required competencies: Sizing up People, Delegation, Planning, Customer Focus and Conflict Management EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Minimum three (3) years’ Inventory Control or relevant experience Demonstrated three (3) years’ leadership experience including knowledge of timekeeping requirements, policy adherence, conflict resolution and the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively Must have the ability to effectively communicate, both verbal and written, in English with internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner Proficient computer data entry skills Excellent organizational skills, with precise attention to detail SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Follow and ensure others follow departmental and company safety policies and programs Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Working scheduled hours and shifts, including weekends, some Holidays, and some night or afternoon shifts Working in hot, noisy environment Lift up to 50 pounds We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
