Essential functions (job duties):
Job Purpose
- Monitor NCAA, conference, and institutional rules to ensure departmental compliance.
- Oversee all compliance systems, including ARMS, LSDBi, Eligibility Center, and NCAA Compliance Assistant.
- Maintain and track student-athlete forms, eligibility checklists, recruiting logs, CARA logs, official/unofficial visits, and playing/practice seasons.
- Conduct internal audits and manage waiver submissions, interpretations, and self-reports.
- Establish and deliver rules education initiatives for coaches, staff, student-athletes, and campus partners.
- Process and monitor all athletic scholarships and related financial aid, in partnership with the Financial Aid Office.
- Track team scholarship limits and individual counters to ensure compliance with NCAA financial aid legislation.
- Coordinate with housing and student accounts on scholarship disbursement and billing issues.
- Review and determine initial and continuing academic eligibility for all student-athletes.
- Collaborate with academic advisors and the registrar to ensure alignment with NCAA progress-toward-degree requirements.
- Compile and submit all eligibility checklists.
- Serve as the department lead on NIL compliance and education.
- Manage NIL disclosure and monitoring platforms (e.g., INFLCR, Opendorse).
- Educate student-athletes on NCAA and institutional NIL policies, reporting requirements, and eligibility impacts.
- Coordinate programming on branding, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship.
- Provide support for academic initiatives, including APR tracking, data collection for NCAA/institutional reporting, and academic recognition nominations.
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of student-athlete development programming, including leadership, wellness, and life skills initiatives.
- Participate in cross-campus initiatives that support student-athlete success and well-being.
- Serve on departmental and university committees, contributing to strategic planning, inclusive excellence efforts, and compliance-related task forces.
- Support special projects assigned by the Associate AD, including annual reporting, strategic priorities, and educational programming.
