Job Summary
The After-School Coach plays a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children during our after-school programs and drop-off care. This includes leading daily themed clubs (STEM, Art, Social Skills, etc.), supervising free play, assisting with homework, and supporting children of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children ages 4–12 in both structured and unstructured activities
- Lead or assist in the day’s themed activity (e.g., STEM projects, sensory play, art)
- Support children with homework and academic tasks during designated time
- Create a welcoming, judgment-free space that respects neurodiversity
- Manage group transitions (snack time, bathroom breaks, cleanup)
- Use positive behavior reinforcement and redirection techniques
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shared spaces and supplies
- Ensure all safety protocols and gym rules are followed
- Provide basic support to children with sensory sensitivities or behavioral needs
Preferred Qualities & Experience
- Experience working with children in school, camp, gym, or recreational settings
- Background in education, occupational therapy, psychology, arts, or fitness is a plus
- Comfort working with neurodivergent children (training provided if needed)
- High energy, patient, nurturing, and creative
- Must be reliable, flexible, and a good communicator
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
