Weatherly Inn Assisted Living Community is seeking friendly, outgoing, and caring individuals to serve residents in our beautiful dining room. Currently, we are looking to fill Full-Time positions. Experience working with and around seniors is a plus.
JOB SKILLS
- Read, write, speak and understand English.
- Lift 50 pounds and carry 35 pounds.
- Push 250 pound resident in wheelchair or cart of same weight.
- Sit, stand, walk, squat, and bend at waist multiple times a shift.
- Perform repetitive arm/hand movement & reach above shoulder.
- Proficient at operating: extractor, vacuum, culinary & dish machinery.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Age: if under 18, must be 16 years old, with Minor Work permit.
- Experience: One year in same or job related field preferred.
- Certificates: WA State Food Handlers (within 14 days) required.
- Proficient in learning, caring, service and positive attitude.
- Clean background check.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn to know special needs of residents and report changes in behavior (physical or emotional) to nursing.
- Be familiar with and follow Employee Handbook, Performance Expectations and specific job duties.
- Able to receive/return routine phone calls from TWI within 24 hours; urgent within 4.
- Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to maintenance or supervisor.
- Report immediately any on the job injury to supervisor or charge nurse.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report to work on time in proper dress, and fingernails cleaned and ready for pre-meal briefing.
- Serve residents in assigned area and lend assistance to other areas time permitting.
- Clean tables and chairs, pick up loose items on floor, vacuum, mop and set tables after meal.
- Clean other areas according to schedule.
- Take and serve food orders to residents in Memory Care and Assisted Living
- Stock common areas with snacks and drinks.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.29 per hour
