Job Summary/Basic Function
This is an entry level 30-hour position that serves as department point person for the First Year and Family Programs office. The individual is responsible for supporting administrators, faculty, staff, other campus departments, and students with processes related to New Student Orientation (NSO) and First Year Experience (FYE).
Required Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year full-time general office work or related experience.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
- College employment experience in new student orientation, first year programs, academic advisement, registration, admissions, financial aid, student services, or enrollment services
- Demonstrated customer service expertise
- Strong verbal communication, written communication, and listening skills
- Familiarity with WSU’s student information system (Banner) and other technological tools used within enrollment services
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Spanish speaking
