Job Summary/Basic Function
This individual will work directly with the director and manager of the WSU Family Literacy Program to recruit families to participate in the program. Must work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and situations. The majority of participants are low-income and from ethnically diverse backgrounds.
JOBFUNCTIONS:
1. Reach out to community agencies, organizations, schools, and other groups to coordinate activities to recruit families to the WSU Family Literacy Program.
2. Make phone calls to recruit families to the program.
3. Maintain social media (Facebook, Instagram, Website, etc.) to invite families to participate in the program.
4. Communicate regularly with the director and manager of the program.
5. Maintain and keep current required documentation and reports.
7. Ensure flexibility in schedule in work hours in order to accommodate recruiting activities.
8. Participate as an effective member of the Family Literacy Program team.
9. Attend scheduled meetings and training.
10. Attend community events and activities to recruit families to the program.
11. Other duties as assigned.
