Job Summary

The Accounting Controller plays a pivotal role in managing financial operations, overseeing accounting functions, and providing strategic guidance to support the company's growth and success. The ideal candidate will possess heavy asset management skills, private equity experience, and a proven track record in financial leadership. This position requires the candidate to work 5 days a week in an office setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management of company assets, including financial investments, real estate holdings, and equipment, optimizing returns and minimizing risks.
• Develop and implement asset management strategies aligning with the company's financial objectives.
• Utilize private equity experience to drive financial growth strategies and investment decisions.
• Evaluate and execute private equity transactions supporting the company's financial goals.
• Provide effective leadership to the finance team, ensuring alignment with accounting best practices and regulatory standards.
• Mentor team members to maintain strong accounting practices and financial health.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, variance analysis for accurate and timely financial insights.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations.
• Utilize analytical insights to optimize financial performance and drive operational efficiency.
• Meet deadlines for financial reporting, compliance requirements, and budget submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Proactively manage financial deadlines and accounting tasks efficiently.
• Uphold high standards of financial balance, accuracy, and integrity in all accounting processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal controls.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification required.
• Minimum of 10 years of Finance leadership experience with strong accounting skills.
• Proven track record managing accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and strategic financial planning abilities.
• Strong attention to detail, deadline management, and maintaining financial accuracy.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Proficient in management tools, software, and systems for tracking progress and performance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing requirements.
