GIS Specialist
Job Summary:
The GIS Specialist at Wecom Fiber is responsible for supporting geographic information system (GIS) activities, data analysis, and mapping functions to assist in the planning, design, and maintenance of network infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and manage spatial data using GIS software to support network planning, asset management, and project mapping.? ?
- Create and maintain accurate maps, charts, and databases to visualize and display geographic data for project planning and decision-making.
- Assist in the development and implementation of GIS tools, applications, and workflows to streamline data processing and enhance project efficiency.
- Conduct quality control checks on GIS data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to data standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and field technicians, to integrate GIS data into project planning and execution processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate degree in geography, GIS, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous work experience GIS analysis, mapping, or data management.
- Proficiency in GIS software and tools, such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar applications.
- Knowledge of spatial data analysis, mapping techniques, and data visualization principles.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex datasets.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
