The Operations Learning Consultant is responsible for ensuring that personnel working in Operations have the knowledge and practical skills to perform in their assigned roles and operate at optimal efficiency and effectiveness while meeting and exceeding performance expectations, maintaining the highest quality standards and following standard operating procedures. The Operations Learning Consultant develops and delivers courses and programs as outlined in the curriculum developed for each role, conducts qualifications, certifications and assessments, as appropriate, collaborates with leaders in Operations and Quality to identify and address gaps and serves as the learning subject matter expert on project teams identifying, developing and ensuring delivery of courses to ensure that personnel have the knowledge and skills necessary as new and revised processes are implemented. Finally, the Operations Learning Consultant is up-to-date and informed on new and proven training methods, concepts, best practices and procedures and shares information, insights and recommendations for enhancing current programs and processes with the team.


When and where will you work?

  • This position is an onsite position in Swedesboro, NJ working 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, with flexibility to work on first and second shift as training needs require.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, deliver and document formal and informal learning solutions using a variety of methods.
  • Learn the jobs and processes in Pharmacy Operations in order to be able to teach others.
  • Develop materials, schedule and conduct competency assessments and other qualifications as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with the leaders in Operations and Quality and other subject matter experts, to devise approaches to learning.
  • Research, document and share new and proven training methods, concepts, best practices and procedures with the training team.
  • Document and maintain training records within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  • Document, review, audit and make recommendations to leaders in Operations and Quality related to standard operating procedures, work and formula instructions, policies and processes.
  • Assists with identifying learning and process gaps and the development and execution of CAPA (corrective and preventative actions)
  • Monitor and coach learners throughout the process, as appropriate, to ensure that learning is being applied and performance is continually improving over time.
  • Employ sound instructional strategies to create a positive learning experience and enable learners to be successful.
  • Deliver, develop and assess the effectiveness of programs, courses and other interventions designed to ensure that all personnel- newly hired, new-to-role, experienced - have the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform at optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Quality leaders and other key stakeholders to ensure training is implemented consistently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with Managers, Supervisors and other subject matter experts to acquire knowledge of situations that require learning solutions and to learn about changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies and their impact.
  • Develop curriculum and courses via learning management systems as appropriate
  • Acquire functional knowledge of policies, processes, practices and procedures in order to develop and deliver learning solutions.

What you’ve done:

  • 2-4 years compounding experience required
  • Obtained your NJ Pharmacy Technician License
