The role…
This position will focus on production planning supporting the sales and manufacturing departments by assisting in achieving the daily production objectives.
How you’ll make an impact…
- Plan and schedule workflow for each department and work cell according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- Manage the process of converting sales order demand into production orders.
- Manage production orders and purchasing orders – plan, release, and print orders. Issue jobs and up-to-date schedules to production departments and suppliers.
- Evaluate capacity, output, and lead time. Ensure aggregate production output is enough to meet total actual and forecasted demand for assigned work centers. Advise management of scheduling /capacity issues, and recommend solutions to over-loaded situations.
- Maintain master data files for assigned products.
- Prepare defined work packages, including detailed work instructions, drawings, bills of material, references, inspection requirements, etc., to initiate and control production work.
- Utilize enterprise resource planning system (SAP) to fulfill customer orders. Must be able to become proficient in planning and execution functions in the system.
What do you bring…
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or other related area preferred.
- Previous experience in Operations Planning is preferred.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and analytical analysis.
- Working knowledge and solid comprehension of SAP or other large-scale ERP system.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving solving, and interpersonal relationship skills are required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- APICS certification preferred.
