Job Responsibilities
Project Execution and Coordination:
· Supervise and manage daily construction activities on the job site, ensuring that work is progressing according to the project schedule and specifications.
· Monitor and enforce safety protocols and practices to create a secure work environment for all personnel.
Quality Control and Assurance:
· Inspect workmanship, materials, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications.
· Address and resolve any quality issues that arise during construction, working collaboratively with subcontractors and team members.
Schedule Management:
· Develop and manage the project schedule, including sequencing of tasks, resource allocation, and coordination of activities.
Communication and Reporting:
· Maintain open and effective communication with project managers, clients, and stakeholders regarding project status, challenges, and progress.
· Prepare and submit regular progress reports, updates, and documentation as required by project management and clients.
Problem Solving and Issue Resolution:
· Identify potential challenges and obstacles that may impact construction progress or quality, and devise solutions to mitigate or resolve these issues.
· Collaborate with project team members to develop contingency plans and alternatives as needed.
Team Leadership and Development:
· Lead and supervise construction personnel, ensuring they have clear direction, resources, and support to perform their tasks effectively.
· Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members, fostering professional growth and skill development.
Regulatory Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, permits, and legal requirements.
· Collaborate with the project team to obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction activities.
Qualifications
· Proven experience as a Construction Field Superintendent or similar role, demonstrating effective leadership and project management skills.
· In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and manage relationships with various stakeholders.
· Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce and promote a culture of safety on the job site.
