What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Estimator position at Weis Builders, Inc.?
As an active member of the estimating team, you will determine the cost of major construction projects through the building of relationships with our subcontractors, take offs, preconstruction activities, and contract price negotiations. You will be part of the team responsible for ensuring that our projects are completed on or ahead of schedule, on or under budget, and the client and associated parties (i.e. architect, engineer, etc.) are delighted with the final product.

Responsibilities
- Analyze bids and project scopes
- Answer subcontractor scope review questions
- Participate in take-offs and understanding specifications
- Participate in pre-bid meetings
- Participate in plan review and estimate reviews for perspective projects
- Utilize and complete the subcontractor pre-qualification form
- Responsible for soliciting subcontractors/suppliers to ensure proper coverage
Qualifications
- Construction Management and/or Engineering Degree or related experience
- 1-3 years experience

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
