JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Neighbor Services Representative
REPORTS TO: Certification / IT Manager
General Requirements
· Adhere to the core values of Weld Food Bank.
· Adhere to USDA nondiscrimination policy.
· Maintain confidentiality of those receiving assistance.
Direct Application Processing
Intake, certification, and service approval will be completed from various locations, including inside the main building, from the temporary trailer, and by phone
· Determine need and eligibility for services through Weld Food Bank.
· Take and process applications for food assistance using the Oasis database, updating neighbor information when necessary.
- Ensure neighbors have proper documentation for certification following Federal, State, and local regulations.
· Record food distributions in database.
· Track vehicles according to their service type.
Other Neighbor Services
· Make reminder calls to Everyday Eats (CSFP) neighbors as needed.
· Provide translation for Spanish speaking neighbors. Use translation service to communicate with neighbors speaking languages other than English or Spanish.
Other Duties
· Assist with filing, phones, and general office tasks as needed.
· Promote the mission of the Weld Food Bank.
· Work cooperatively with staff and volunteers to promote clean, safe, and positive work environment.
· Other related duties as assigned.
Hours (subject to change)
· 7:45 – 4:15 Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri
· 7:45 – 12:00 Wed, plus staff meetings twice per month on Wed afternoon
· One Saturday each month (usually the 4th Saturday) 8:30 – 1:30
· Off inventory days, unless needed for special projects.
