Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Technician to provide hands-on support across engineering, testing and production activities. This role plays a critical part in the design, development and production of our products and ensures our products meet performance, quality, and safety standards. A key part of this position includes identifying and sourcing electronic components, devices and systems in accordance with engineering and project requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical systems and takes initiative in solving complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and identify electronic components, devices and systems according to engineering specifications and project requirements.
- Build, test, and troubleshoot electrical assemblies, harnesses, and sub-systems for engineering prototypes and production.
- Support engineering teams with electrical testing, measurements, data collection, and root cause analysis.
- Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Assist with the design and maintenance of production test fixtures.
- Provide feedback to engineering on manufacturability and design improvements.
- Document build processes, test results, and assist in maintaining revision control for technical documentation.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 5 years of experience as an electrical technician in a manufacturing or engineering support environment.
- Demonstrated ability to research, evaluate, and procure electronic components and systems based on engineering requirements.
- Proficient in the use of electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, etc.).
- Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Hands-on experience with soldering, wire harnessing, and prototyping.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- An understanding of the safety and emissions testing processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting product development teams through engineering change processes.
- Experience guiding electrical devices and systems through the safety and emissions testing processes.
- Experience creating test applications using high level languages.
- Background in testing and supporting embedded systems or electromechanical assemblies.
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
