- Checks that tables and chairs are clean and set properly prior to dining services hours.
- Assures that all condiment service is full and clean prior to service.
- Assures all servers are in uniform.
- Sets up menus on each table and posts daily menus in an appropriate location.
- Takes attendance at each meal.
- Checks with all residents to assure meals are satisfactory. Offers substitutes as appropriate.
- Discreetly cleans up liquid or other spills that may create a safety hazard during dining service.
- Helps serve meals and clear tables as necessary.
- Assures dining room is cleaned between meals including sweeping the carpet, cleaning tables and chairs, cleaning salad/coffee bar area, and microwave/refrigerator.
- Delivers and/or coordinates delivery of resident trays.
- Assures that residents who require therapeutic diets are receiving appropriate meals for their needs.
- Follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner. Participates in the safety program.
- Performs other duties as may be required.
Ability and Experience requirements:
- Must have the ability to interact with residents in a polite and courteous manner.
- Must have previous experience as a server.
- Must have a current basic First Aid Card.
- Must obtain criminal background clearance.
