About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Paralegal for the Complex Subpoena & Garnishment Unit (SGU), which supports brokerage services . This Complex Subpoena & Garnishment Unit role specially works with court restricted guardianship processes. These matters include but are not limited to third-party criminal, civil, grand jury, and regulatory subpoenas, as well as civil investigative demands, and court orders. This position is available in St. Louis, Mo.
In this role, you will:

Conduct weekly reviews of supervisory reports of all matters managed in the workflow for the CTR team and provide support for the paralegal managers in review of their supervisory reports.

Work independently on complex assignments, including client inquiries, projects, and produces concise written materials for manager, attorneys, or outside counsel

First level contact for simple escalations and triage larger escalations to efficiently provide quicker response time (e.g., verifying and gathering information, identify second level persons who require involvement, and engage management and counsel).

Engage directly with regulatory or other external agency contacts

Recognize and properly escalate significant matters

Collaborate and consult with internal partners to resolve inquiries and issues
Required Qualifications:
-
5 years of Paralegal experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Experience with debt collection

Experience working with employment law, third party law (criminal and civil cases)

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

Ability to work independently, proactively, innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgment

Strong PowerPoint, Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint skills/proficiency

Experience using Relativity or other eDiscovery platforms.
Job Expectations:

This position is a non-negotiable hybrid work schedule, requiring 3 days in the office and allows for 2 days remote.

Paralegal certification may be required in some states
