About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer that has Consumer Lending domain expertise that allows them to have a large impact leading the design and implementation of complex solutions that enable of high quality and highly reliable capabilities to meet our ever changing customer’s needs. Candidates need to be Engineers that have a track record of designing and delivering innovate solutions that meet the requirements of today, while being forward leaning and flexible so they can be leveraged to meet new requirements in the future. Principal Engineers are strategic leaders that provide both hands on guidance to our Engineering teams, along with setting the target state vision for solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Design and lead teams to deliver headless microservice platforms that enable capabilities to be written once and used by many products
- Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups
- Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and impactful business solutions
- Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
- Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
Required Qualifications, US:
- 7 years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 7 years of application development experience
- 4 years Microservices platform development
Desired Qualifications:
- 4 years in one of the following domains: unsecured lending, credit card, data engineering, or merchant services
Job Expectations:
- Up to 10% travel
