In this role, you will:
- Be part of the Home Lending Originations Product Team – Credit Guidelines Desk team, effectively providing macro credit and collateral policy and guidelines interpretation across all product sets including Agency, Government and Non-Agency prior to a loan application being made. This individual would provide support to sales managers seeking clarification or interpretation to an existing credit or collateral guideline in One Right Answer, a recently communicated credit or collateral policy/guideline change, or product/program terms and guidelines.
- Provide adequate Home Lending Credit Guidelines Desk mailbox coverage ensuring the tracking system remains operational and up to date with the latest responses and all inquiries/pipeline are successfully satisfied within agreed upon service level agreements.
- Provide updates to stakeholders on progress of any changes to the Credit Guidelines Desk process and escalate risks and issues as appropriate. Work independently to make recommendations for Credit Guidelines Desk efficiencies and enhancements.
- Maintain the tracking repository for responses which includes using an easily identifiable topic.
- Research moderately complex inquiries that require analytical skills, basic knowledge of the Home Lending strategy and strong understanding of the credit and collateral policies and guidelines.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with branch managers and sales supervisors.
- Maintain strong collaboration and partnership with Legal, Risk, Control and Compliance.
- Understand and ensure adherence to the Credit Guidelines Desk process, policies and procedures.
- Continue to spotlight pain points or gaps in the process and collaborate with the team lead to update the process when needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
- Mortgage operations experience.
- Knowledge of Home Lending products, programs, and policy
- Strong credit underwriting skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
- Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management.
Job Expectations:

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to attending existing partner meetings and forums to socialize various topics and share upcoming changes, utilizing Sales brief agendas to socialize various topics, and identifying emerging trends and topics for potential user educational/training and clarification campaigns. This role will adhere to established procedures and protocols in support of business goals and priorities.
