About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist to support our Consumer Lending Control group. To start, this role will focus on Enterprise Next Generation Inventory (ENGin) project responsibilities. Once the project is complete, this role will support our Consumer Collections & Servicing group under Cards and Merchant Services Control.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area
- Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls
- Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
- Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk
- Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations
Special Project Temporary Assignment:
- Independently map controls using the NGI Tableau Control tool and the preliminary mapping from the Central Team
- Ensure controls mapped adequately align to the MCR/Attributes to mitigate and control the risk
- Ensure any gaps are appropriately identified
- Execute the Use Process by working with their team leads to ensure control mapping is completed timing and accurately
- Assist Team Leads as needed with additional tasks such as RAU applicability as needed
Required Qualifications, US:
- 4 years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 1 year of Cards experience - specifically collections
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid working knowledge of Consumer Lending regulations
- Superior verbal, written, problem solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage complex reviews from moderate to high risk with ability to influence others
- Strong experience with control risk framework
- Strong project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to proactively partner, collaborate and influence internal and external clients and business partners
- Excellent reputation for partnering with stakeholders and across various teams
