The Trade Services Processor role supports the International Trade Service clients of Wells Fargo with their global business needs. Team members are responsible for handling nearly every transaction that flows through the Wells Fargo trade services pipeline, playing a critical role in ensuring trade documents are captured accurately and prepared correctly for domestic and overseas shipment. There is a great deal of financial and reputational risk associated with this role and requires the highest levels of aptitude, attention to detail, critical thinking, and risk management.
In this role, you will:
- Provide support for processing new collections, payments, trade acceptances and tracing outstanding items
- Receive direction from supervisor and escalate non-routine questions
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal customers
- Develop the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures and compliance requirements
- Handle inbound international and domestic courier shipments.
- Identify documents by the trade product type
- Prompt capturing of documents in the internal system
- Prepare trade documents for further examination and handling by partnering teams.
- Develop, with training provided, familiarity with Letters of Credit under UCP600 and ISBP (International Standard Banking Practice) rules, govern regulations, bank policies, and international and domestic bank operations.
- Work in a fast-paced environment where volume levels vary daily. Team members are expected to perform at high quality levels and thrive in a teamwork-driven role.
Required Qualifications, US:
- 2 years of Trade Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- SharePoint experience
- Ability to achieve high production and quality standards
Job Expectations:
- Ability to work additional hours as needed
The successful candidate must be available to work Monday through Friday; between the hours of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Hours may change due to business needs.
