Location: Receiving Hope Center (RHC)
Position Summary: The LPN is responsible for delivering basic on-site medical services for youth participants of the Receiving Hope Center, with coordination by the lead nurse practitioner and oversight by the medical director.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Medical Residential Services
Provide regular basic on-site medical services for participants, as needed and within established parameters under the guidance of the medical director.
Coordinate off-site medical care for participants.
Assist with the maintenance of policies and procedures related to medical care.
Support staff training and compliance monitoring related to medical policies and procedures, including periodic reviews of the medication administration record (MAR).
Assist with the management of medical equipment and supply inventory, collaborating to ensure spending aligns with budget.
Gather data on participant medical needs and trends.
As needed, assist with the implementation of a medical intake checklist to confirm basic wellness clearance for intake.
Develop recommendations on participant services, activities, and resources related to medical care.
Professional Qualifications:
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
As an LPN, requirements include graduation from an accredited LPN program.
Active Georgia licensure or licensure compact to practice in Georgia, as applicable.
Current CPR certification and current health records with appropriate immunizations to work in the healthcare field.
Minimum one year of experience working with children in an acute care or outpatient setting, including experience with vital signs, venipuncture, capillary and injection
Minimum of one year of experience working with vulnerable youth populations is strongly preferred.
Strong administrative and organizational skills with computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word and Outlook) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs).
Position Requirements:
Employment is contingent upon completing pre-employment background checks, including criminal history, fingerprinting, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to ongoing compliance with these checks.
Possession of a valid driver’s license is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the person’s capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person’s suitability of working with or around children and vulnerable populations.
Working Conditions:
Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds and work for long periods at a computer.
Moderate local travel required related to program and training needs, as well as occasional travel beyond the metro Atlanta area.
Minimal travel as needed.
Clearance for medical malpractice insurance coverage.
