Job Description
Reporting to the Superintendent but responsible for overseeing and inspecting the paving crew in all phases of the project.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Interpret and implement construction plans.
- Read, understand, interpret and enforce safety policies and practices.
- Assist the Superintendent with scheduling the projects in logical steps based upon employee and equipment availability and completion dates.
- Coordinate the requisition of supplies and material with the Superintendent.
- Confer with managers, sub-contractors, and Project Managers on a daily basis or as needed.
- Must be willing to work the hours needed to complete projects in a timely manner while meeting quality standards.
- Manage paving crew to ensure that Werner Construction's high quality standards are consistently met.

Qualifications:
-
Must have some concrete paving experience
-
The ability to read, understand and implement construction drawing is required.

Must possess excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills.

This position requires a self-starter who is highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to read and understand project plans.

Must be able to effectively manage employees and work with other Management staff.

Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is recommended.

Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly desirable.
