Qualified Professional

Responsibilities:

- To provide ongoing monitoring, support and behavioral health support services to children and youth with emotional trauma, as well as to serve their families. The Qualified Mental Health Professional will engage individuals in weekly skills training and case management (routine and intensive) service.

The Qualified Mental Health Professional will follow a strengths-based model to develop and build skills that will hel individuals autonomously and successfully. The Qualified Mental Health Professional will work with the clinical team to develop a Service/Treatment Plan focused on the individuals needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide skill-building to individuals who are served by the Assertive Community Treatment Team.
Provides specialized training in housing and tenancy supports
Facilitate training of independent living skills, establish access to community services and agencies, assist individuals in establishing support networks in the community and assess individual needs on a daily basis.
Coordinate services with the program, staff, inpatient facilities, and detoxification facilities and establish linkage to residential programs, self-help programs and community resources.
Review treatment progress and monitor and provide continuous consultation with other Assertive Community Treatment Team staff and community agencies to ensure the consistent therapeutic management of the individual’s needs.

Ability to easily connect with people with profound communication skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality of the information collected from the members and their families
Good analyzer and good observations skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to tackle complicated issues with ease and should be comfortable dealing with patients of all age groups
Considerable knowledge of the dynamics and problems of addiction, and current practices of treatment.
Strong commitment to the right and ability of each person with a severe and persistent mental illness to live in normal community residences
Education and Experience

4-year degree in Human Services 2 years’ experience with population served
4-year degree non-Human Services = 4 years’ experience working with population served
Experience with Adult Developmental and Intellectual Disability, Mental Health, and Substance Use Disorders 2-years’ experience with co-occurring and mental health population.

Certifications
Valid North Carolina Driver License – NC Division of Motor Vehicles

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Weekends as needed
